I noticed some caching issues with service calls when repeating the same service call (long polling). Adding metadata didn't help. One solution is to pass a timestamp to ensure ie thinks it's a different http service request. I'd even start with 0.5 times 3.5 -- it feels normal to add 0.5 to itself 3 times, then not-too-bad to add it once more 1/2 a time. That establishes "add 1/2 a time" is fine and fits the repeated-addition pattern.

Your title says something else than "infinity times zero". It says "infinity to the zeroth power". It is also an indefinite form because $$\infty^0 = \exp (0\log \infty) $$ but $\log\infty=\infty$, so the argument of the exponential is the indeterminate form "zero times infinity" discussed at the beginning.
